Accounts Receivable Associate

Sysco is looking for a professional and organized Accounts Receivable Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks and projects. The Accounts Receivable Associate will be responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable function, including accounts receivable collections, customer relationships, invoicing, and reporting.To be successful in this role, you should have an excellent understanding of accounting processes, strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks. You should also be highly organized, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work independently and take initiative. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred but not required. Previous experience in Accounts Receivable is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage Accounts Receivable activities, including accounts receivable collections, customer relationships, invoicing, and reporting.
2. Establish and maintain customer accounts, including updating credit limits and credit terms.
3. Follow up with customers regarding overdue invoices and payments.
4. Monitor and process customer payments.
5. Process adjustments and refunds.
6. Reconcile customer accounts.
7. Prepare and file sales tax returns.
8. Prepare monthly financial statements and other related reports.
9. Interact with customers and other departments to resolve problems and discrepancies
10. Maintain accurate filing system for accounts receivable records.
11. Assist in special projects and other duties as assigned.
