  1. Conduct thorough credit analysis on wholesale loan applications to determine risk levels and make recommendations for approval or denial.
  2. Monitor and assess the credit risk of existing wholesale loan portfolios, identifying potential areas of concern and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
  3. Collaborate with various departments and teams within the company to gather and analyze data, and provide insights and recommendations on credit risk management.
  4. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and changes in regulations related to wholesale lending, and proactively adjust risk management strategies accordingly.
  5. Develop and maintain credit risk models and tools to assist in the evaluation and monitoring of wholesale loan portfolios.
  6. Provide support and guidance to loan officers and other team members on credit risk-related matters.
  7. Prepare and present reports and presentations on credit risk management to senior management and other stakeholders.
  8. Identify opportunities for process improvement and participate in the implementation of new risk management initiatives.
  9. Ensure compliance with all internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
  10. Uphold Synovus' values of innovation, collaboration, and exceptional customer service in all aspects of the job.
  11. Continuously seek to improve and enhance skills and knowledge related to credit risk management and the wholesale lending industry.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Credit Risk Analysis Within The Wholesale Banking Industry.

  • Strong Analytical Skills With The Ability To Interpret Complex Financial Data And Identify Potential Risks.

  • Knowledge Of Credit Risk Management Principles And Regulations, Such As Basel Iii And Dodd-Frank Act.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Communicate Credit Risk Assessments To Management And Stakeholders.
