Participates in the evaluation and recommendation of new testing tools. May serve as liaison to the testing vendors. Develops test plans and write test cases/scripts from functional and business specifications. Implements automated testing tools. Plans, tests, and reports the results of manual testing. Develops automated test scripts. Defines and tracks quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results and test status. Develop testing documentation and report on test process and results. Validate problem resolution fixes. Validate and document product functionality across releases. Delivers quality process training to technical staff and act as an internal quality consultant to advise or influence business or technical partners. Provides technical direction and training to team members. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or sometimes as a project advisor.
