Job Description

Synovus is looking for a motivated and experienced Compliance Risk Programs Specialist to join our team and help us ensure our operations remain compliant with all applicable laws and regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and conducting compliance risk assessments, identifying potential risks, and developing action plans to address those risks. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter who is eager to learn, has excellent organizational skills, and is able to work independently and collaboratively.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field, 5+ years of experience in risk management and/or banking compliance, and a thorough understanding of banking regulations. Prior experience in a financial institution or regulatory agency is preferred. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and conduct compliance risk assessments to identify potential risks and develop action plans to address those risks.
  2. Monitor compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Keep up to date on regulatory changes and ensure that policies and procedures remain compliant.
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, partners, and regulators.
  5. Assist in the development and implementation of training programs for bank personnel.
  6. Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure compliance across the organization.
  7. Prepare reports and presentations on compliance risk management.
  8. Analyze and monitor compliance data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  9. Provide guidance and support to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  10. Investigate and troubleshoot compliance issues.
