Job Description

Synovus is seeking an experienced Benefits Analyst to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented professional who can ensure our benefits programs are administered accurately and efficiently. The Benefits Analyst will report to the Benefits Manager. The Benefits Analyst must have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, as well as 3 or more years of professional experience in Human Resources or Benefits Administration. Knowledge of group medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plan design and administration is required. The Benefits Analyst must also have excellent computer skills, including proficiency in database and spreadsheet software. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of employee benefit plans and regulations, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. The ability to work independently and prioritize tasks is essential. Responsiveness and an eagerness to learn and take on new challenges in a fast-paced environment are also key qualities for this position. Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and administer all employee benefit programs in accordance with legal requirements and organizational policies.
  2. Ensure that benefits programs are administered accurately and efficiently.
  3. Analyze and evaluate existing benefits packages to assess competitiveness in the market.
  4. Monitor and ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  5. Research and recommend new benefit programs to meet the changing needs of the organization.
  6. Create reports and provide data analysis regarding benefits plans and programs.
  7. Serve as a point of contact for employees and help resolve any questions or issues related to benefits.
  8. Work with outside vendors to ensure accurate administration and payment of benefits.
  9. Maintain and update benefits records and files.
  10. Maintain knowledge of current trends and best practices in benefits administration.
