Portfolio Management Actuary

Swiss Re is looking for an experienced and motivated Portfolio Management Actuary to join our team and help us manage our portfolio of insurance and reinsurance contracts. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with large datasets and have a passion for understanding the complex dynamics of the reinsurance market. We are seeking an individual with a strong professional background in actuarial science and a proven track record in portfolio management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the portfolio management process, advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions. We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can build strong relationships across the organization.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in actuarial science or a related field, and at least 5+ years of professional experience in portfolio management. Professional certification such as Fellowship of the Society of Actuaries is highly desirable. Additionally, experience with reinsurance and/or insurance products is a plus.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage a portfolio of insurance and reinsurance contracts.
2. Analyze large datasets and identify trends in the reinsurance market.
3. Utilize advanced analytical and problem-solving skills to make data-driven decisions.
4. Develop and maintain strong relationships with colleagues and other stakeholders.
5. Prepare strategic reports and presentations for senior management.
6. Monitor changes in regulations and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
7. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of portfolio management activities.
8. Provide guidance and support to team members.
