Job Description

As an Ultrasound Technician, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by utilizing state-of-the-art ultrasound equipment and techniques.   1. Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, vascular, and musculoskeletal exams, following established protocols and maintaining high quality standards.
  2. Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and following safety protocols.
  3. Prepare patients for procedures and explain the process to them, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns.
  4. Evaluate images for quality, clarity, and accuracy, making adjustments as needed and documenting findings accurately.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including radiologists and physicians, to provide accurate and timely results for patient diagnosis and treatment.
  6. Maintain patient records and documentation in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  7. Stay up-to-date with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques, attending training and continuing education opportunities as necessary.
  8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff from potential hazards.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive and professional experience.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stocked and stored.
  11. Comply with all legal and ethical guidelines, including patient confidentiality and privacy regulations.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute ideas for process improvements to enhance patient care.
  13. Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, including those related to scheduling, billing, and insurance requirements.
  14. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and a positive work environment.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by supervising physician or department management.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Ultrasound Technician Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.

  • Current Certification As A Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Rdms) Through The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms).

  • Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In Performing Diagnostic Ultrasound Procedures In A Clinical Setting.

  • Strong Understanding Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Related To Ultrasound Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Interact Effectively With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
