- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals in the operating room.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.
- Ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are available and in working order.
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
- Handle surgical specimens with care and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Monitor and document patient vitals during procedures.
- Assist with patient positioning and draping.
- Assist with prepping and draping of surgical site.
- Handle and dispose of all biohazardous materials appropriately.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate and complete records of procedures and supplies used.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with surgical techniques and procedures.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Follow hospital policies and procedures at all times.
- Attend and actively participate in team meetings and trainings.
- Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Technician In An Acute Care Setting.
Knowledge Of Surgical Procedures And Ability To Anticipate Surgeon's Needs During Procedures.
Proficiency In Sterile Technique And Infection Control Protocols.
