- Assist surgeons and other healthcare professionals in a variety of surgical procedures.
- Prepare operating rooms and equipment for surgeries.
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and supplies.
- Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures and provide necessary equipment and supplies.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assist with positioning and draping during surgeries.
- Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
- Communicate effectively with surgical team members to ensure smooth and efficient procedures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a high standard of quality patient care.
- Continuously develop and maintain knowledge of current surgical technology and techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a positive and supportive work environment.
- Document patient information, surgical procedures, and equipment used accurately and efficiently.
- Participate in training and education programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including confidentiality and ethical standards.

Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program: A Surgical Technician Ii At Sutter Health Must Have Completed A Formal Education Program In Surgical Technology And Have Obtained A Degree Or Certificate From An Accredited Institution.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential: Sutter Health Requires All Surgical Technician Ii Candidates To Hold A Current Cst Certification From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting: Candidates For The Surgical Technician Ii Position Should Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center, Demonstrating Proficiency In Various Surgical Procedures And Equipment.
Knowledge Of Sterile Techniques And Infection Control: The Surgical Technician Ii Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Aseptic Techniques And Infection Control Protocols To Ensure The Safety And Well-Being Of Patients And Staff During Surgical Procedures.
Ability To Multitask And Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Sutter Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Can Thrive In A Dynamic And Fast-Paced Surgical Environment, Able To Handle Multiple Tasks And Assist In Various Procedures Simultaneously. Strong Organizational And Time-Management Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
