- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures to ensure the success and safety of each surgery.
- Work closely with the surgical team to anticipate their needs and provide necessary instruments and supplies.
- Set up and maintain a sterile field to prevent infection and ensure a safe surgical environment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments to ensure they are in proper working order.
- Anticipate potential complications and assist in resolving them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning during surgery.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all surgical procedures and supplies used.
- Follow established hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Assist with the training and orientation of new surgical technicians.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center Setting
Proficiency In A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, And Minimally Invasive Techniques
Knowledge Of Sterile Technique And Ability To Maintain A Sterile Field During Surgical Procedures
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
