  1. Assist in a variety of surgical procedures to ensure the success and safety of each surgery.
  2. Work closely with the surgical team to anticipate their needs and provide necessary instruments and supplies.
  3. Set up and maintain a sterile field to prevent infection and ensure a safe surgical environment.
  4. Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and instruments to ensure they are in proper working order.
  5. Anticipate potential complications and assist in resolving them in a timely manner.
  6. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated patient care.
  7. Monitor and document patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning during surgery.
  8. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
  9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with advancements in surgical technology and techniques.
  10. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all surgical procedures and supplies used.
  11. Follow established hospital policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  12. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  14. Assist with the training and orientation of new surgical technicians.
  15. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa)

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience As A Surgical Technician In A Hospital Or Surgical Center Setting

  • Proficiency In A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, And Minimally Invasive Techniques

  • Knowledge Of Sterile Technique And Ability To Maintain A Sterile Field During Surgical Procedures

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Surgeons, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals In A Fast-Paced Environment.
