Job Description

Sutter Health is seeking a highly trained Surgical Technician to join our team and help ensure that our patients receive the best care possible. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality care and be a team player that is capable of handling a variety of duties. The successful candidate will bring a combination of technical and interpersonal skills, as well as a commitment to providing excellent service to our patients.The Surgical Technician is responsible for providing assistance to the operating surgeon during all types of surgical procedures. This role requires the Technician to use specialized skills to assist the surgeon in operations and ensure that the operating room is properly sterilized and that all equipment is in proper working order.The successful candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and have completed an accredited surgical technology program. They must also have a valid state certification or equivalent and maintain valid CPR certification. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of one year of experience in a similar role. The successful candidate must also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They must also maintain an understanding of the principles and practices of sterilization and infection control. A successful candidate must also possess a strong attention to detail and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
