Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor, Inpatient Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Sutter Health.   1. Provide leadership and direction to a team of inpatient pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  2. Oversee the daily workflow of the inpatient pharmacy department, including medication dispensing, inventory management, and quality control.
  3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Sutter Health's standards of patient care.
  4. Train and mentor new and existing pharmacy technicians, providing ongoing education and development opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as pharmacists and nurses, to ensure safe and accurate medication administration to patients.
  6. Monitor and analyze department performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  7. Handle and resolve any issues or concerns related to medication orders, inventory, or patient care in a timely and professional manner.
  8. Maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise in pharmacy operations, staying up-to-date on industry developments and best practices.
  9. Foster a positive and supportive work environment for team members, promoting teamwork and open communication.
  10. Participate in departmental and organizational meetings, providing updates on departmental operations and contributing to strategic planning initiatives.
  11. Maintain accurate and complete records, including patient medication profiles, inventory records, and departmental reports.
  12. Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all team members.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care, actively seeking opportunities to improve the patient experience.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As An Inpatient Pharmacy Technician In A Hospital Or Healthcare Setting.

  • Certification As A Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) From A Recognized Organization.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmacy Laws, Regulations, And Accreditation Standards.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And Experience Managing A Team Of Pharmacy Technicians.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With Pharmacists, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
