  1. Perform all aspects of sterile processing including decontamination, assembly, packaging, and sterilization of medical equipment and instruments.
  2. Adhere to strict safety and infection control protocols to maintain a sterile environment.
  3. Operate sterilization equipment and perform routine maintenance and quality checks.
  4. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments and equipment.
  6. Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in sterile processing.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with sterilization equipment or processes.
  8. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterile supplies and equipment.
  9. Train and mentor new Sterile Processing Technicians to ensure consistent and high-quality work.
  10. Comply with all regulatory requirements and guidelines related to sterile processing.
  11. Assist with the development and implementation of new sterilization processes and techniques.
  12. Communicate effectively with team members and healthcare providers to ensure smooth operations.
  13. Adhere to Sutter Health's code of conduct and ethical standards.
  14. Participate in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education

  • Certification As A Sterile Processing Technician (Cspdt) Or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (Crcst)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Sterile Processing Or Related Field

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Infection Control, And Sterilization Techniques

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
