- Administer radiation therapy as prescribed by the physician and monitor patients for any adverse reactions or side effects.
- Educate patients and their families about radiation treatment, potential side effects, and self-care measures.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Accurately document all patient interactions, treatments, and medications in electronic medical records.

- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families during the difficult journey of cancer treatment.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in radiation oncology and participate in ongoing education and training.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Act as a mentor and resource for other staff members, including new nurses and nursing students.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices for the department.
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, including safety and emergency protocols.
- Collaborate with insurance companies and other healthcare providers to ensure proper reimbursement and continuity of care for patients.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude and contribute to a supportive and collaborative team environment.
Bls Certification From The American Heart Association.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education And Experience.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Oncology Or Radiation Oncology Setting.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Radiation Oncology Treatment Procedures And Equipment.
