Staff Nurse, Labor & Delivery

1. Provide compassionate and exceptional nursing care to mothers and babies in the Labor & Delivery department.
2. Monitor and assess the health status of patients, including vital signs, lab results, and other pertinent information.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
5. Educate and support patients and their families on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
6. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and adhere to infection control protocols.
7. Respond to emergencies and provide appropriate interventions in a timely manner.
8. Stay up-to-date with current trends and practices in labor and delivery nursing to provide evidence-based care.
9. Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
10. Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and other professional development activities.
11. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and communicate effectively with other healthcare team members.
12. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as legal and ethical standards in the delivery of patient care.
13. Foster a positive and supportive work environment by collaborating and communicating effectively with colleagues.
