We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Nurse II to join our Labor & Delivery team. As a Staff Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.   1. Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during the labor and delivery process.
  2. Monitor and assess patients' physical and emotional well-being throughout the labor and delivery process.
  3. Administer medications and perform procedures according to established protocols and physician orders.
  4. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
  7. Anticipate and respond to potential complications during labor and delivery, taking appropriate action to ensure patient safety.
  8. Utilize critical thinking skills to make sound nursing judgments and decisions.
  9. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
  10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and education to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the advancement of evidence-based nursing practices.
  13. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during the labor and delivery process.
  14. Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following infection control and safety protocols.
  15. Serve as a patient advocate, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during the labor and delivery process.
  16. Train and mentor new staff members and students, as needed.
  17. Collaborate with other departments and healthcare facilities to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  18. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  19. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional care and making a positive impact in the lives of patients and their families.
  20. Complete all required training and maintain current licensure and certifications.

Job Qualifications
  • Bls And Acls Certifications.

  • Current Rn License In The State Of California.

  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field.
