  1. Provide exceptional care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
  2. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
  3. Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing and responding to any changes or emergencies.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  5. Document patient care and progress accurately and timely in electronic medical records.
  6. Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  7. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  8. Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
  9. Continuously update knowledge and skills through education and training opportunities.
  10. Support and promote a culture of patient-centered care and customer service excellence.
  11. Act as a role model for professional behavior and ethical standards.
  12. Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions.
  13. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
  14. Comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards.
  15. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
  16. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  17. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  18. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing: A Minimum Of A Bsn Degree Is Required For A Staff Nurse Ii Position In The Intensive Care Unit At Sutter Health. This Degree Provides A Strong Foundation In Nursing Theory, Clinical Practice, And Critical Thinking Skills Necessary For A High-Level Nursing Position.

  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License: Candidates Must Possess A Current And Active Rn License In The State Of California. This License Ensures That The Nurse Has Met All The Necessary Requirements And Has Demonstrated Competency In Their Nursing Practice.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In An Icu Setting: A Staff Nurse Ii Must Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Intensive Care Unit. This Experience Allows The Nurse To Have A Strong Understanding Of Critical Care Nursing And The Specialized Skills Needed To Care For Critically Ill Patients.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: Sutter Health Requires All Staff Nurses Ii In The Icu To Have A Current Acls Certification. This Certification Demonstrates The Nurse's Knowledge And Skills In Managing Cardiac Emergencies And Is Crucial In The Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment Of The Icu.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: The Icu Is A Highly Collaborative And Fast-Paced Environment, And Effective Communication And Teamwork Are Essential For The Delivery Of Quality Patient Care. A Staff Nurse Ii At Sutter Health Must Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Well With A Multidisciplinary Team To Provide The Best Possible Care For Patients.
