
Staff Nurse II, Intensive Care Unit
Sutter Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced Staff Nurse II to join our dynamic Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. - Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
- Utilize exceptional nursing skills and strong critical thinking abilities to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform other nursing procedures as needed.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, respiratory therapists, and social workers to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress, report any changes or concerns to the appropriate healthcare team members.
- Educate patients and their families about their condition and treatment plans, and provide emotional support.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help to maintain accreditation standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their rights are respected and their needs are met.
- Follow all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Maintain continuing education and stay updated on the latest advancements in critical care nursing.
- Mentor and support new nurses and nursing assistants.
- Remain calm and professional in high-stress situations.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Equivalent Education And Experience.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) And Basic Life Support (Bls) Certifications.
Current And Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Staff Nurse In An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Setting.
Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills, As Well As Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities.
