  1. Provide compassionate and exceptional nursing care to patients in the ICU float pool, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assessing patient needs.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  3. Utilize critical thinking skills to quickly assess and respond to changes in patient conditions.
  4. Effectively communicate with patients and their families to provide education and support, as well as to address any questions or concerns.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of all treatments and procedures.
  6. Adhere to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as safety and infection control protocols.
  7. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
  8. Serve as a mentor and resource for less experienced nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  9. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, promoting a culture of teamwork and excellence within the ICU float pool team.
  11. Continuously evaluate and strive to improve the quality of care provided to patients, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  12. Remain up-to-date on current best practices and evidence-based guidelines for ICU patient care.
  13. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs are met.
  14. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice, maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or other members of the leadership team.

Job Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California

  • Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Intensive Care Unit (Icu)

  • Bachelor Of Science In Nursing (Bsn) Degree Preferred

  • Ability To Effectively Communicate And Collaborate With A Multi-Disciplinary Healthcare Team.
