- Provide exceptional patient care by utilizing advanced nursing skills and knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures.
- Follow established protocols and standards of care to maintain patient safety and promote positive outcomes.
- Monitor and assess patients before, during, and after surgery, and communicate any changes or concerns to the surgical team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care, including pre-operative and post-operative assessments.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to anticipate potential complications and take appropriate action.
- Serve as a patient advocate, ensuring patient needs and preferences are addressed.
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare providers to ensure a smooth flow of the surgical process.
- Maintain a clean and safe surgical environment, adhering to infection control policies and procedures.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
- Mentor and assist new staff members in the perioperative setting.
- Promote a culture of safety and quality improvement within the surgical department.
- Maintain confidentiality and respect the privacy of patients and their families.
- Comply with all regulatory and organizational policies and procedures.
Active Rn Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess An Active And Valid Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Practicing.
Minimum Education And Experience: A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Required, Along With A Minimum Of Two Years Of Experience In A Surgical Setting.
Clinical Competency: The Candidate Must Have A Strong Clinical Background And Be Proficient In Handling Complex Surgical Procedures, Including Monitoring Patients' Vital Signs And Managing Potential Complications.
Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Technology: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Surgical Equipment And Technology, Including Anesthesia Machines, Monitoring Devices, And Surgical Instruments.
Team Player: The Candidate Must Be Able To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, And Other Or Staff, To Ensure The Best Patient Outcomes. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For This Role.
