- Provide compassionate and high-quality care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit/Coronary Progressive Care Unit.
- Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and perform treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support during their stay in the ICU/CPCU.
- Utilize critical thinking skills to respond quickly and appropriately to changes in patients' conditions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
- Adhere to established protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring that their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous quality improvement and contribute to the development of best practices within the ICU/CPCU.
- Maintain professional standards of nursing practice and adhere to all legal and ethical standards.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to junior staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Adhere to all Sutter Health policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nursing processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of patient care.
Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of California.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In An Intensive Care Unit (Icu) Or Critical Care Unit (Cpu) Setting.
Bls, Acls, And Pals Certification.
Experience With Electronic Medical Record Systems, Such As Epic.
Excellent Critical Thinking And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced And High-Stress Environment.
