  1. Provide compassionate and skilled nursing care to patients in the Intensive Care Unit/Critical Care Unit.
  2. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient care.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patient's condition and response to treatment, adjusting care plan as needed.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
  6. Educate patients and their families on disease process, treatment plans, and self-care techniques.
  7. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  8. Remain up-to-date on current nursing practices and evidence-based research related to critical care.
  9. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and clean patient care environment.
  11. Use critical thinking skills to prioritize and manage multiple patient care needs in a fast-paced environment.
  12. Remain calm and focused during high-stress situations and respond appropriately to emergency situations.
  13. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  14. Mentor and train new staff members and participate in ongoing education and training opportunities.
  15. Maintain a professional and positive attitude, promoting a culture of excellence within the healthcare organization.
  16. Hold a current nursing license and maintain all necessary certifications, including ACLS.
  17. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and promoting patient satisfaction.
  18. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.
  19. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA regulations.
  20. Continuously evaluate and improve own nursing practice, seeking out opportunities for professional growth and development.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Nursing Is Typically Required For The Role Of Staff Nurse In Icu/Cpu At Sutter Health. This Educational Background Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Foundation In Nursing Principles And Practices.

  • Current Rn License: A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is A Primary Requirement For The Staff Nurse Position At Sutter Health. This License Is Obtained By Passing The National Council Licensure Examination (Nclex-Rn) And Ensures That The Candidate Is Qualified To Practice As A Nurse In The State.

  • Minimum 2-3 Years Of Experience In Critical Care: Sutter Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Prior Experience In Working In A Critical Care Setting, Such As An Icu Or Cpu. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In This Field To Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle Complex And High-Stress Situations.

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification: As A Staff Nurse In Icu/Cpu, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing And Providing Care To Patients With Life-Threatening Conditions. Therefore, Sutter Health Requires That The Candidate Holds A Valid Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certification To Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills To Respond To Cardiac Emergencies.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Communication Skills: Working In An Intensive Care Unit Or Critical Care Unit Requires Excellent Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Make Quick And Effective Decisions. Sutter Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Can Demonstrate Their Ability To Think Critically And Communicate Effectively In High-Stress Situations To Provide The Best Care For Their Patients.
