- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients and their families.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, treatment plans, and medication administration.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medical records.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and their families.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current on pediatric nursing best practices and advancements.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families during difficult times.
- Serve as an advocate for patients and their families, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
- Continuously evaluate and improve nursing care processes and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while providing compassionate and high-quality care.
- Act as a role model and mentor for other nursing staff.
- Comply with all Sutter Health policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing From An Accredited Institution
Current And Valid Rn License In The State Of California
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Pediatric Setting
Bls And Pals Certifications From The American Heart Association
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment And With Pediatric Patients And Their Families.
