  1. Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Emergency Department.
  2. Assess and prioritize patient needs based on acuity and urgency.
  3. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures according to established protocols.
  4. Monitor and document patient responses to interventions.
  5. Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  6. Maintain accurate and complete medical records.
  7. Continuously monitor and maintain the safety and comfort of patients.
  8. Stay up-to-date on current emergency care protocols and techniques.
  9. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  10. Report any changes in patient condition to the appropriate healthcare providers.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  12. Follow infection control and safety protocols.
  13. Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  14. Act as a patient advocate to ensure their needs are met and their rights are respected.
  15. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  16. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and standards of practice.
  17. Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  18. Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude in all interactions.
  19. Handle stressful situations calmly and efficiently.
  20. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Valid Rn License: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Valid Registered Nurse (Rn) License From The State Of California.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Emergency Department Experience: Sutter Health Is Looking For Candidates Who Have Prior Experience Working In An Emergency Department Setting, Preferably With At Least 2 Years Of Experience.

  • Bls And Acls Certification: The Candidate Should Hold Current Certifications In Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls).

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills: The Role Of A Staff Nurse In The Emergency Department Requires Quick Decision-Making, Prioritization, And Problem-Solving Abilities. The Ideal Candidate Should Possess These Skills To Effectively Handle High-Stress Situations.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Abilities: In A Fast-Paced Environment Such As The Emergency Department, Effective Communication And Teamwork Are Crucial. The Candidate Should Have Strong Interpersonal Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team.
