
Speech Language Pathologist II, Inpatient/Outpatient NICU

- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of infants' speech and language abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and interventions based on assessment results and evidence-based practices.
- Provide direct therapy services to infants in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Regularly monitor and document progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to ensure a multidisciplinary approach to care.
- Educate and train parents and caregivers on techniques and strategies to support their child's speech and language development.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient care activities.
- Stay current with industry trends and research related to speech and language development in infants.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice.
- Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and sensitivity when working with infants and their families.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development and implementation of departmental goals and initiatives.
- Maintain all necessary licensure and certifications required for the role.
- Act as an advocate for infants and their families, promoting a family-centered approach to care.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Master's Degree In Speech-Language Pathology From An Accredited Program
Certificate Of Clinical Competence (Ccc) From The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (Asha)
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting, With Specialized Experience In Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Nicu) Population
Knowledge Of And Experience With A Variety Of Assessment And Treatment Methods For Neonatal Feeding And Swallowing Disorders
Current State Licensure As A Speech-Language Pathologist And In Good Standing With State Board Of Speech-Language Pathology And Audiology.
