- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, stakeholders, and community members through various communication channels.
- Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify and cultivate major gift prospects and develop strategies for solicitation.
- Develop and manage a donor recognition program, ensuring donors feel appreciated and valued for their contributions.
- Work closely with the marketing and communications team to create effective messaging and materials that promote philanthropy and inspire donor support.
- Develop and manage a budget for donor relations activities, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
- Serve as a liaison between Sutter Health and external organizations, representing the organization at events and meetings to enhance relationships and promote philanthropic opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in donor relations, incorporating new strategies and techniques into Sutter Health's fundraising efforts.
- Lead and mentor a team of donor relations staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their success in engaging and stewarding donors.
- Demonstrate a deep commitment to Sutter Health's mission and values, and act as a positive ambassador for the organization in all interactions with donors and stakeholders.
Extensive Experience In Fundraising: A Successful Senior Director Of Donor Relations At Sutter Health Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Fundraising, Preferably In A Leadership Role. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Meeting Fundraising Goals And Cultivating Relationships With Major Donors.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Role Of A Senior Director Of Donor Relations Requires Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Donors, Senior Leadership, And Other Stakeholders Within The Organization.
