  1. Provide exceptional respiratory care to patients with respiratory illnesses and diseases.
  2. Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
  3. Perform diagnostic tests to assess respiratory function and evaluate treatment effectiveness.
  4. Monitor patients' respiratory status and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory care techniques and self-management strategies.
  6. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and progress notes.
  8. Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety standards in the delivery of respiratory care.
  9. Stay current on industry advancements and best practices in respiratory care.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based protocols.
  11. Act as a resource and provide guidance to other healthcare professionals on respiratory care issues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field: A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or A Related Field Is Typically Required For A Respiratory Care Practitioner Job At Sutter Health. This Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Excel In The Field Of Respiratory Care.

  • Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (Rcp) License: In Order To Practice As A Respiratory Care Practitioner, Individuals Must Hold An Active Rcp License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Practitioner Has Met All Necessary Education And Certification Requirements.

  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (Crt) Or Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt) Credential: Sutter Health May Require Candidates To Hold A Crt Or Rrt Credential From The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc). These Credentials Demonstrate A High Level Of Competency In The Field Of Respiratory Care.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Respiratory Therapy: Sutter Health May Prefer Candidates Who Have At Least 2 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Respiratory Therapy, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinical Setting. This Experience Allows The Practitioner To Have A Strong Foundation And Understanding Of Respiratory Care Practices.

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills: As A Respiratory Care Practitioner At Sutter Health, It Is Essential To Have Strong Communication Skills To Effectively Work With Patients, Their Families, And Other Healthcare Team Members. Additionally, Critical Thinking Skills Are Crucial When Assessing And Treating Patients With Respiratory Conditions.
