
Residency Program Coordinator, Obstetrics and Gynecology

- Oversee and manage all operational aspects of the Obstetrics and Gynecology residency program, including scheduling, budgeting, and coordinating with other departments.
- Facilitate the recruitment and onboarding process for new residents, including coordinating interviews, collecting application materials, and organizing orientation.
- Act as a liaison between the residency program and other departments, such as HR, finance, and IT, to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases related to the residency program, including resident evaluations, schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with the development and implementation of educational programs and events for residents, including conferences, workshops, and lectures.
- Coordinate and schedule rotations for residents at various healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with program requirements and regulations.
- Serve as a point of contact for residents, addressing any questions or concerns and providing support and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop and maintain policies and procedures for the residency program, ensuring compliance with accreditation requirements.
- Participate in the evaluation and selection process for potential residency program applicants.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the residency program, identifying areas for growth and implementing solutions to enhance the overall experience for residents.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulations related to residency programs, and make recommendations for program adjustments as needed.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations in handling sensitive resident and patient information.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among all members of the residency program team.
- Represent the residency program and Sutter Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the residency program director or other leadership team members.
Bachelor's Degree In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In A Residency Program Coordinator Role, Preferably In Obstetrics And Gynecology.
Strong Understanding Of Acgme Accreditation Requirements And Program Guidelines.
Excellent Organizational And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Manage Multiple Tasks And Deadlines.
Proficiency In Microsoft Office And Experience With Electronic Medical Record Systems.
