1. Provide exceptional and compassionate care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
2. Utilize advanced nursing skills and knowledge to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the PACU.
3. Monitor and maintain patient vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and assist with pain management.
4. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure timely and effective patient care.
5. Document patient care accurately and thoroughly.
6. Educate patients and their families on post-operative care and discharge instructions.
7. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
8. Maintain a high level of professionalism and uphold ethical standards in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
9. Stay current with advancements and best practices in Post Anesthesia Care to provide the highest quality of care.
10. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
11. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with colleagues and other departments.
12. Comply with all regulatory standards and maintain a current California RN license and BLS certification.
