1. Provide compassionate and quality patient care to expectant mothers and their families in the Family Birthing Center.
2. Utilize strong knowledge and skills in obstetrics to support and assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum care.
3. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
4. Monitor and assess the physical and emotional well-being of patients and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
5. Educate and guide patients and their families on proper postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
6. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
7. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and progress.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
9. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current on best practices and advancements in obstetric care.
10. Serve as a resource and mentor to other healthcare team members, including nurses and support staff.
11. Provide emotional support and guidance to patients and families during the childbirth experience.
12. Handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently, following established protocols and seeking assistance when needed.
