- Provide skilled and compassionate care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
- Work collaboratively with a team of surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgeries.
- Serve as a crucial member of the surgical team, providing support and assistance to the surgeon during procedures.
- Utilize strong clinical knowledge and expertise to anticipate and address potential complications during surgery.
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure patient safety and quality of care.
- Educate patients and their families about the surgical process, including pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and respond promptly to any changes or concerns during surgery.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all surgical procedures and patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Continuously strive for excellence in patient care by staying updated on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and preferences are respected and addressed.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families during what may be a stressful time.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized surgical environment.

- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) From An Accredited Institution.
Current Basic Life Support (Bls) And Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) Certifications.
Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License In The State Of Practice.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Surgical Nurse, Preferably In An Operating Room Setting.
Certification As A Registered Nurse First Assistant (Rnfa) By A Nationally Recognized Organization, Such As The National Institute Of First Assisting (Nifa).
