- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds, according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring proper functioning and safety.
- Position patients correctly and provide clear instructions for procedures to ensure accurate images.
- Review patient medical history and assess any potential risks or contraindications for the procedure.
- Work closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to determine the appropriate imaging techniques for each patient.
- Monitor patient reactions and vital signs during procedures, providing comfort and reassurance as needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all procedures performed.
- Follow proper radiation safety protocols to protect patients, staff, and self from overexposure.
- Keep abreast of new developments and techniques in radiologic technology and participate in ongoing training and education.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure efficient and timely patient care.
- Provide excellent customer service and address any patient concerns or questions.
- Demonstrate a commitment to delivering compassionate and patient-centered care.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all Sutter Health policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Clinic Setting.
Bachelor's Degree In Radiologic Technology Or Related Field.
Certification By The American Registry Of Radiologic Technologists (Arrt).
Current State License To Practice As A Radiologic Technologist.
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Radiologic Equipment, Techniques, And Safety Protocols.
