- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Ensure accurate positioning and proper technique to obtain high-quality images for accurate diagnosis.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any adverse reactions or changes in condition to the radiologist.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including imaging results and any necessary documentation.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and report any malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to infection control and radiation safety protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Stay current on advancements and changes in the field of radiology through continuing education and training.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to maintain high standards of patient care.
- Assist in training and mentoring new radiologic technologists.
- Follow all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, staff, and visitors.
- Adhere to all Sutter Health policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Associate's Degree Or Higher In Radiologic Technology From An Accredited Program.
Current Arrt Certification In Radiography.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Radiologic Technologist In A Hospital Or Medical Center Setting.
Proficiency In Operating And Maintaining Radiologic Equipment, Including Digital And Portable Machines.
Strong Knowledge Of Anatomy, Physiology, And Medical Terminology Related To Radiology Procedures.
