  1. Provide high-quality patient care: The primary responsibility of a Physician Assistant in this role is to provide excellent care to patients in the Ortho Surgery department. This includes conducting physical exams, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans.
  2. Collaborate with the healthcare team: The Physician Assistant will work closely with a team of surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. This includes participating in team meetings, discussing patient cases, and communicating effectively with team members.
  3. Perform surgical procedures: The Physician Assistant may be responsible for assisting surgeons during procedures, performing minor surgeries and procedures, and providing follow-up care to patients.
  4. Educate patients: It is important for the Physician Assistant to educate patients about their conditions, treatments, and post-operative care. This includes explaining procedures, answering questions, and providing resources for patients to better understand their health.
  5. Maintain accurate medical records: The Physician Assistant will be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records for each patient. This includes documenting patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  6. Adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines: The Physician Assistant must adhere to all professional standards and ethical guidelines set by the medical field.   7. Stay current on industry trends and advancements: The Physician Assistant must stay current on advancements in the field of Ortho Surgery and incorporate new techniques and treatments into their practice when appropriate.
  8. Demonstrate compassion and empathy: As a healthcare professional, the Physician Assistant must be compassionate and empathetic towards patients and their families. This includes actively listening to their concerns, providing emotional support, and advocating for their needs.
  9. Continuously develop skills and knowledge: The Physician Assistant should be committed to continuing education and professional development to enhance their skills and knowledge. This may include attending conferences, workshops, and seminars,

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Physician Assistant Studies Or Related Field

  • Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa)

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In Orthopedic Surgery

  • Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Orthopedic Conditions, Treatments, And Procedures

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate Effectively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Provide Patient Education And Counseling.
