  1. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  2. Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans for patients, based on their individual needs and medical conditions.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated and coordinated care to patients.
  4. Educate patients and their families about their medical conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
  5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  6. Perform procedures such as suturing, wound care, and minor surgeries under the supervision of a physician.
  7. Monitor and record patient progress, including changes in symptoms, vital signs, and medication effectiveness.
  8. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
  9. Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of family and internal medicine through ongoing education and training.
  10. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and provide feedback to improve patient care.
  11. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards of practice and maintain patient confidentiality.
  12. Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and professionalism in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  13. Float to various departments and clinics within Sutter Health to provide coverage and support as needed.
  14. Maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with other healthcare professionals and staff members.
  15. Continuously strive to meet and exceed patient satisfaction and quality care goals.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Certification From The National Commission On Certification Of Physician Assistants (Nccpa).

  • Graduate Degree In Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Practicing As A Physician Assistant, Preferably In Family Or Internal Medicine.

  • Strong Clinical Skills And Knowledge In Primary Care And Internal Medicine, Including Diagnosis, Treatment, And Management Of Acute And Chronic Conditions.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team And Build Rapport With Patients.
