- Dispensing Medications: The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for accurately and efficiently dispensing medications to patients, following all safety and quality assurance protocols.
- Inventory Management: The Technician will assist in managing and maintaining inventory levels, ensuring all medications are properly stocked and stored according to regulations.
- Patient Communication: The Pharmacy Technician will communicate with patients and their caregivers to schedule medication deliveries, answer any questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
- Data Entry: Accurate data entry is a crucial responsibility for this role, as the Technician will be responsible for entering patient and medication information into the system.
- Quality Assurance: The Technician will be expected to follow all quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and safety of medications being delivered to patients.
- Collaborate with Team: The Pharmacy Technician will work closely with other members of the pharmacy team to ensure efficient and effective delivery of medications to patients.
- Adhere to Regulatory Standards: The Technician will be responsible for following all regulatory standards and guidelines, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Organization: It is the responsibility of the Technician to maintain a clean and organized work environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
- Troubleshooting: The Pharmacy Technician will be expected to troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the delivery of medications, and communicate any concerns or problems to the appropriate team members.
- Continuous Learning: As a member of the healthcare team, the Technician will be responsible for staying up to date with industry developments, new medications and treatments, and continuously improving their skills and knowledge.
Certified Pharmacy Technician (Cpht) Credential From A Recognized Organization Such As The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (Ptcb).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience As A Pharmacy Technician, Preferably In A Home Infusion Pharmacy Setting.
Knowledge Of Sterile Compounding Techniques And Aseptic Practices, As Well As Proficiency In Pharmaceutical Calculations.
Familiarity With Specialty Medications And Their Storage, Handling, And Administration Requirements.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Healthcare Professionals And Patients.
