High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Is Typically Required For A Patient Transporter, Imaging Position At Sutter Health. This Shows That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Knowledge Required For The Job.
Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting: While Not Always Required, Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Such As A Hospital Or Medical Office, Can Be Beneficial For A Patient Transporter, Imaging Role. This Experience Can Help The Candidate Understand The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Working In A Healthcare Environment.
Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: Many Hospitals, Including Sutter Health, Require Patient Transporters, Imaging To Have A Current Bls Certification. This Shows That The Candidate Has The Necessary Training And Skills To Respond To Emergency Situations And Provide Basic Life Support If Needed.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Patient Transporters, Imaging Must Have Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Their Families, And Medical Staff. This Includes Being Able To Communicate Clearly And Compassionately, And Being Able To Remain Calm And Professional In Stressful Situations.
Physical Ability: Patient Transporters, Imaging May Be Required To Lift And Move Patients Who Are Unable To Move Themselves. As Such, Candidates For This Role Should Have The Physical Ability To Perform These Tasks Safely And Without Risk Of Injury To Themselves Or The Patient.
