- Greet and welcome patients and their families in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, addressing concerns, and resolving issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Schedule appointments and procedures for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Verify and update patient information, including insurance coverage and personal details.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the facility.
- Communicate with medical staff to coordinate patient care and ensure timely follow-up.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collect co-payments, deductibles, and outstanding balances from patients.
- Monitor patient wait times and ensure that patients are seen in a timely manner.
- Keep accurate records of patient interactions and update electronic medical records as needed.
- Assist with the coordination of patient transportation and accommodations, if necessary.
- Stay up-to-date on all hospital policies and procedures to provide accurate information to patients.

Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Good Understanding Of Medical Terminology Is Crucial For A Patient Services Representative To Accurately Schedule Appointments, Communicate With Healthcare Providers, And Maintain Patient Records.
Customer Service Experience: As The Primary Point Of Contact For Patients, A Patient Services Representative Must Have Previous Experience In Customer Service To Handle Inquiries, Complaints, And Difficult Situations With Professionalism And Empathy.
