  1. Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive and welcoming environment for patients and their families.
  2. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow in the Radiation Oncology department, ensuring efficiency and timely patient care.
  3. Use electronic medical records system to accurately and confidentially document patient information and update patient records as needed.
  4. Verify insurance coverage and collect co-pays or other payments from patients.
  5. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries, providing accurate information and directing calls to appropriate departments or individuals.
  6. Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth and seamless experience for patients.
  7. Maintain inventory and order supplies for the department, ensuring adequate stock levels and cost-effectiveness.
  8. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  9. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to stay updated on industry standards and best practices in patient care.
  10. Demonstrate empathy and sensitivity towards patients and their families, providing emotional support and comfort as needed.
  11. Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and completing forms.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring a safe and sanitary environment for patients and staff.
  13. Collaborate with other Patient Services Representatives to ensure a cohesive and efficient team environment.
  14. Uphold the mission and values of Sutter Health by providing high-quality, personalized care to patients and their families.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Radiation Oncology Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Billing And Coding, And Electronic Medical Records.

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills And The Ability To Communicate Effectively With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals.
