  1. Greet and welcome patients as they enter the General Surgery department, ensuring a warm and friendly atmosphere.
  2. Provide exceptional customer service to patients, their families, and visitors, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  3. Schedule appointments and procedures for patients according to department protocols.
  4. Collect and verify patient information, including insurance and billing details.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  6. Assist with patient check-in and check-out processes, including collecting payments and coordinating referrals to other healthcare providers.
  7. Communicate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.
  8. Serve as a liaison between patients, their families, and the healthcare team to ensure all needs and concerns are addressed promptly.
  9. Follow established protocols for handling confidential patient information and maintaining patient privacy.
  10. Ensure all necessary forms and documents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  11. Collaborate with other departments within the organization to provide comprehensive and coordinated care for patients.
  12. Continuously monitor and improve patient satisfaction through feedback and suggestions.
  13. Attend departmental meetings and trainings to stay updated on policies, procedures, and new developments in the field.
  14. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  15. Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Sutter Health through your interactions with patients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In General Surgery Or A Related Specialty.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Procedures, And Insurance Billing.

  • Excellent Customer Service And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Interact With Patients And Medical Staff In A Professional And Compassionate Manner.
