- Greet and welcome patients and visitors to Sutter Health facilities in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere for patients by providing exceptional customer service.
- Verify patient information and insurance coverage to facilitate a smooth check-in process.
- Schedule and coordinate appointments and procedures for patients, as well as handle any necessary rescheduling or cancellations.
- Collect and process patient co-payments and payments for services rendered.
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls and inquiries to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and efficient patient flow throughout the facility.
- Educate patients on their rights and responsibilities, as well as any necessary pre-visit instructions.
- Handle and resolve patient concerns, complaints, and inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Stay updated on all Sutter Health policies, procedures, and services to provide accurate information to patients.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Assist with various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and other duties as assigned.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to enhance the patient experience.
- Attend training sessions and meetings to stay current on job responsibilities and changes in procedures.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Patient Access Representative At Sutter Health Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Basic Level Of Education And Understanding To Perform The Duties Of The Job.
