- Greet and welcome patients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist patients with check-in process, including verifying personal and insurance information.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient information in electronic health record system.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information and answer questions.
- Handle patient inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations for services.
- Collect patient payments and process financial transactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare team members to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations.
- Keep updated on insurance requirements, eligibility, and changes in healthcare policies.
- Meet performance targets and maintain quality standards for patient satisfaction.
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient complaints or issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Attend trainings and educational opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
- Adhere to Sutter Health's policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Patient Registration Or Related Field.
Knowledge Of Medical Terminology, Insurance Verification, And Billing Processes.
Strong Customer Service Skills And Ability To Effectively Communicate With Patients, Families, And Healthcare Professionals.
Proficiency In Using Electronic Medical Records And Other Computer Systems.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent, With Additional Education Or Certification In Healthcare Administration Or Related Field Preferred.
