As an Operating Room Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient functioning of our operating rooms.   1. Conduct thorough and accurate pre-operative checks of all equipment and supplies in the operating room.
  2. Assist in preparing the operating room for surgical procedures, including setting up sterile fields, positioning equipment, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
  3. Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other members of the operating room team to anticipate and fulfill their needs during surgeries.
  4. Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room by following strict infection control protocols and procedures.
  5. Monitor and document patient vital signs, fluid intake/output, and other pertinent information during surgical procedures.
  6. Anticipate potential complications and assist in implementing appropriate interventions as directed by the surgeon.
  7. Operate and maintain specialized equipment and instruments used in surgical procedures.
  8. Assist with patient positioning and transportation to and from the operating room.
  9. Ensure the proper handling and disposal of all biohazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
  10. Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve technical skills and knowledge of new equipment and procedures.
  11. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all procedures, supplies used, and patient information.
  12. Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide high-quality and compassionate care to patients.
  13. Adhere to all hospital and department policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
  14. Act as an advocate for patient safety and satisfaction by communicating effectively and compassionately with patients and their families.
  15. Maintain a clean and organized operating room environment, restocking supplies as needed and assisting with cleaning and sterilization of equipment.

Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Surgical Technology Program And Certification As A Surgical Technologist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In An Operating Room Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Surgical Equipment And Instruments, As Well As Aseptic Techniques And Infection Control Protocols.

  • Ability To Anticipate Surgeon's Needs, Work Under Pressure, And Maintain A Sterile Environment During Surgical Procedures.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Multitask And Prioritize Tasks Effectively.
