
Occupational Therapist III, Acute Care

- Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess the needs and abilities of patients in an acute care setting.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation findings and patient goals.
- Provide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to patients with various conditions such as neurological, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary disorders.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective care for patients.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and treatment plans.
- Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in occupational therapy.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based protocols.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment and follow infection control protocols.
- Serve as a mentor to other occupational therapy staff and students.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers about treatment plans and progress.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, in-services, and continuing education opportunities.
- Adhere to all Sutter Health policies and procedures.
- Represent Sutter Health in a professional and positive manner at all times.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience As An Occupational Therapist In An Acute Care Setting.
Current State License Or Eligibility For Licensure In Occupational Therapy.
Advanced Knowledge And Skills In Evaluation, Treatment, And Discharge Planning For A Variety Of Acute Care Patients.
Demonstrated Leadership Abilities, Including Experience In Mentoring And Supervising Other Therapists.
