Job Description

If so, Sutter Health is seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapist/Hand Therapist to join our team.In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and utilize your expertise in providing personalized treatment plans to help patients recover from hand and upper extremity injuries. As an integral member of our team, you will collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver the highest level of care to our patients.To be successful in this role, you must possess a degree in Occupational Therapy and have a valid license to practice in the state. Additionally, we are seeking candidates with at least two years of experience in hand therapy, as well as strong communication and critical thinking skills.   1. Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients' hand and upper extremity injuries and develop personalized treatment plans based on their specific needs.
  2. Utilize advanced knowledge and skills in occupational therapy and hand therapy techniques to help patients regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
  3. Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop a holistic approach to patient care.
  4. Monitor and document patients' progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing education and support to patients and their families.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements and research in occupational and hand therapy and incorporate new techniques and technologies into patient care.
  6. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient evaluations, treatments, and progress notes in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  7. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, and visitors.
  8. Provide guidance and support to less experienced therapists and participate in training and mentoring programs as needed.
  9. Engage in continuous professional development and participate in departmental meetings and conferences to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Occupational Therapy From An Accredited Program.

  • Active License From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).

  • Specialized Certification In Hand Therapy From The Hand Therapy Certification Commission (Htcc).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As An Occupational Therapist, Preferably With A Focus On Hand Therapy.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Well In A Multidisciplinary Team.
