We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate OB Tech to join our team at [location]. As an OB Tech, you will play a critical role in supporting our labor and delivery unit and ensuring the safety and comfort of our expectant mothers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about women's health and has experience and training in obstetrics.   1. Assisting with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in the labor and delivery unit.
  2. Preparing delivery rooms and ensuring they are clean, stocked, and ready for use.
  3. Setting up and maintaining equipment and supplies for procedures and deliveries.
  4. Assisting with the care and monitoring of patients during labor and delivery.
  5. Providing emotional support and comfort to expectant mothers and their families.
  6. Assisting with the delivery of babies, including assisting with C-sections and other procedures.
  7. Documenting patient information and procedures accurately and in a timely manner.
  8. Collaborating with the nursing team to provide high-quality care and support to patients.
  9. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment and following infection control protocols.
  10. Participating in ongoing education and training to maintain and improve skills and knowledge.
  11. Demonstrating sensitivity and cultural competence when working with patients from diverse backgrounds.
  12. Communicating effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members.
  13. Adhering to all hospital and department policies and procedures.
  14. Actively participating in quality improvement initiatives and identifying areas for improvement in patient care.
  15. Maintaining confidentiality of patient information and following HIPAA guidelines.
  16. Upholding the values and mission of Sutter Health and promoting a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent

  • Cpr/Bls Certification

  • Completion Of An Accredited Ob Technician Program

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Equipment Used In Obstetrics

  • Previous Experience In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In Labor And Delivery Or Obstetrics.
