  1. Provide comprehensive care to patients with neurological conditions, with a focus on stroke and neurosurgery.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement treatment plans.
  3. Conduct thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
  4. Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures to aid in diagnosis and treatment.
  5. Prescribe and manage medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  6. Educate patients and their families on treatment options, disease management, and healthy lifestyle choices.
  7. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  9. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  10. Stay current with evidence-based practices and participate in continuing education to enhance knowledge and skills.
  11. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
  12. Maintain confidentiality and respect for patient rights.
  13. Act as a patient advocate and promote patient-centered care.
  14. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and assist in developing and implementing best practices.

Job Qualifications
  • A Current And Valid Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of California.

  • A Master's Degree In Nursing With A Specialization In Neurology Or Neurosurgery.

  • At Least 2 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Stroke Or Neurosurgery Setting.

  • Board Certification As A Stroke Certified Registered Nurse (Scrn) Or Neurosurgery Certified Registered Nurse (Scrn).

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team.
