- Develop and implement quality and patient safety initiatives to improve overall patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to identify areas for improvement and develop action plans.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to assess compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Analyze data and trends to identify potential risks and implement preventative measures.
- Serve as a resource for staff, providing education and training on quality and safety standards.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of quality and patient safety programs.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to quality and patient safety.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations to share best practices and benchmark performance.
- Facilitate and participate in quality improvement committees and meetings.
- Collaborate with patients and their families to address any concerns or complaints related to quality and safety.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate quality and safety data to leadership.
- Serve as a liaison between the organization and regulatory agencies during inspections or audits.
- Assess and address any potential legal or ethical implications related to quality and patient safety.
- Identify and implement strategies to promote a culture of safety and continuous quality improvement.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all quality and patient safety activities.
Master's Degree In Nursing With Specialization In Nurse Practitioner Program
Current And Valid Nurse Practitioner License In The State Of California
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience As A Nurse Practitioner In A Healthcare Setting
Certification In Quality And/Or Patient Safety, Such As Certified Professional In Patient Safety (Cpps) Or Certified Professional In Healthcare Quality (Cphq)
Knowledge And Understanding Of Regulatory And Accreditation Standards Related To Quality And Patient Safety, Such As The Joint Commission And Cms Guidelines.
