  1. Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Emergency Room and Dialysis departments.
  2. Ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate patient care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  4. Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of nurses, providing guidance and support as needed.
  5. Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
  6. Develop and maintain departmental budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
  8. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among staff.
  9. Serve as a liaison between the nursing staff and other departments, promoting effective communication and coordination of care.
  10. Participate in hiring, training, and onboarding new staff members.
  11. Handle any patient or staffing issues that may arise, utilizing problem-solving skills and maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  12. Represent the Emergency Room and Dialysis departments in meetings and committees as needed.
  13. Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.
  14. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other members of the healthcare team.
  15. Contribute to the overall success and growth of the organization by identifying and implementing process improvements and promoting a culture of excellence.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing: A Nurse Manager In The Emergency Room And Dialysis Department At Sutter Health Should Possess A Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing. This Education Provides The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Effectively Manage And Lead A Team Of Nurses In A Fast-Paced And Specialized Healthcare Setting.

  • Current Rn License: A Valid And Current Registered Nurse (Rn) License Is A Must-Have Qualification For A Nurse Manager Position At Sutter Health. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met All The Necessary Requirements To Practice Nursing And Can Oversee The Care Provided By Other Nurses In The Department.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Emergency Room And Dialysis Nursing: Sutter Health Requires Its Nurse Manager To Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Both Emergency Room And Dialysis Nursing. This Experience Provides A Strong Foundation In The Clinical And Administrative Aspects Of These Specialized Areas And Enables The Individual To Effectively Manage Complex Patient Care Situations.

  • Strong Leadership And Communication Skills: A Nurse Manager Should Possess Strong Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Nurses And Collaborate With Other Healthcare Professionals. This Includes The Ability To Delegate Tasks, Provide Constructive Feedback, And Promote A Positive Work Environment.

  • Knowledge Of Healthcare Regulations And Policies: Sutter Health Values Candidates Who Have A Strong Understanding Of Healthcare Regulations And Policies, Particularly Those Related To Emergency Room And Dialysis Services.
