- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures using nuclear medicine technology, including administering radiopharmaceuticals, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images for quality.
- Prepare patients for procedures, providing clear and concise instructions and ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting all procedures, results, and any adverse reactions.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnoses and treatment plans.
- Monitor and maintain the quality control of equipment and supplies, reporting any malfunctions or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, including proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials.
- Educate patients and their families on the procedures being performed and answer any questions or concerns they may have.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices in nuclear medicine technology and implement them in daily practice.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
- Provide exceptional patient care by demonstrating compassion, empathy, and professionalism at all times.
Bachelor's Degree In Nuclear Medicine Technology Or Related Field.
Certification Or Licensure As A Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working In A Nuclear Medicine Department.
Knowledge Of Radiation Safety Protocols And Experience With Radioactive Materials.
Strong Interpersonal And Communication Skills For Working With Patients And Medical Staff.
